Job Title: Crypto Editor

International Business Times is expanding its coverage of the cryptocurrency market and is seeking an editor who can provide the type of coverage that cannot be found anywhere else.

Responsibilities include: recruit, hire and manage freelancers; create a calendar serving as the guide for what would be covered and when stories would be scheduled for publication; assigning articles and writing articles; establishing deadlines for product reviews; and managing and updating a Google spreadsheet.

The successful candidate will also need to be comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment in which a significant volume of content is expected on a daily basis. The ability to write breaking news stories and incorporate information from other media outlets is a must.

A knowledge of AP style is also a requirement along with being able to multitask and shift priorities depending on changes in the news cycle. New York based candidates preferred, but not required. The successful candidate will be offered a contract with the chance to join the staff, depending on job performance and reaching metrics.
