IBT Media Launches Social Capital

NEW YORK (PRWEB) OCTOBER 06, 2020

International Business Times (IBTimes.com), the global business news leader, is pleased to announce the new section "Social Capital," a forum for trail-blazing business leaders.

"These business leaders are transforming society with social capital by respecting their customers, employees and colleagues," said Johnathan Davis, CEO of IBT Media which publishes IBTimes. "In their own words, CEOs and other C-Suite executives who possess social capital share with our readers their innovative thoughts on how to find and define that intangible asset at the heart of a new and dynamic view of success."

Social capital cannot be measured quantitatively. It's not just about quality, service, integrity or social good. It cannot be bought or obtained by supporting sustainability efforts or the latest and greatest causes or campaigns. Social capital cannot be quantified merely by increased profits, ROI or even great media coverage.

Social capital is bigger than all that.

"When it comes to capitalism, we are at a crucial crossroads in America, with some believing it is the cause of all that is wrong in our society," said Chris Benguhe, IBT Editor-at-Large, who oversees the media company's Social Capital program. "But these caring CEOs are proving that capitalism done right can actually be the solution to our problems."

The "Social Capital" section lives on the “Opinion” page of ibtimes.com as well as its own main page.

Employing rigorous criteria, thorough assessments and exacting research on thousands of CEOs, the editors at IBT choose only 10 CEOS each month who are recognized as the top "Social Capital" CEOs in America. Each CEO contributes first-person pieces on their thoughts about social capital and engages in video interviews and dynamic Q&As on the subject. For October 2020, IBTimes is pleased to select the following CEOs for their pioneering social capital initiatives

Brian Niccolò: ChipotleDoug McMillon: WalmartEd Bastian: DeltaChip Bergh: Levi’sJamie Cygielman: American Girl BrandsLaura Alber: Williams-SonomaGabriel Weinberg: DuckDuckGo.comDan Bane: Trader Joe’sBrian Scudamore: 1-800-GOT-JUNK?Craig Menear: Home Depot

"These business leaders are doing business the right way," said Davis. "At its best, business and capitalism are a force to improve humankind."
